A 5 Week Series Class with Amy Sellitti happening on Wednesday’s at Rise Yoga at 4:15PM - 5:30PM.
Back Pain is one of the most common causes of disability. Good news! Studies show back pain responds well to Yoga. More and more doctors are recommending patients to Yoga to help treat their Low back pain, and more and more people are seeking alternative ways to manage their pain. In the vast world of Yoga, what type of practice or class should you choose to support your spine? This series is designed to experience & educate the practitioner on types of Yoga practices that support the spine, and which ways of practicing may not.
This class is designed for beginners or seasoned practitioners. Already taking Yoga classes? Great, in this class you can learn ways to protect your back during other Yoga classes. If on the other hand, you are not attending Yoga because it is not suited to care for your back, then this is the class for you!
The setting is a small group to provide space to modify the practice to fit your needs. The intention is to empower and educate us to move in a way that nourishes the spine and what movements may aggravate the spine; during pain or preventatively. At the end of each class there will be sufficient time to rest, inviting our bodies to come into a state of relaxation, where healing occurs.
