This practice addresses the whole being: mind, body, energy, spirit. We will cover the “Recovering movement in persistent pain” model adopted from Neil Pearson, a PT and Yoga Therapist, whose life work is to support those with chronic pain. The remainder of the workshop will weave in yogic philosophy, gentle dynamic movements with breath awareness, breath work, and relaxation techniques. We will discuss what it means to calm your nervous system and address your body. The intention is that you leave feeling more empowered to navigate your journey of wellbeing and life.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Amy lives in Wallingford, CT and practice and teach in New Haven county.
"My practice and trainings are based in Yoga Therapy, a therapeutic, individualized variation to the practice. This approach to Yoga takes into account our unique situations and invites the practice to be molded to suit us, rather than us to suit the practice. It is my passion and privilege to have worked with many individuals over the past 4 years and to watch the impact Yoga has on their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Yoga has helped me soothe and heal my personal anxiety and physical discomfort. Being a Yoga Therapist has bridged my passion for Yoga and purposeful desire to help others. It is my dharma (purpose) in this life."
