Yoga for Anxiety & Uncertainty

Yoga has been scientifically proven to support anxiety in the body and mind.

This 2 hour workshop is designed to help educate the practitioner about the ways in which Yoga views our mental health and state of being. We will learn ancient yogic teachings that have never been more relevant in modern times.

These teachings give us tangible ways to support our mental being as we are, right now.
No matter your faith or background, Yoga offers a richness to our mental health journey that is designed to work with all layers of who we are: mind, body and soul.

Outline:

  • Learn yogic teachings such as the three Gunas and Pratipaksha Bhavana and how it relates to the experience of anxiety.

  • Breath-centered Yoga practices that meet the way in which anxiety shows up in our bodies

  • Physical postures and movements to discharge excess anxious energy in order to make space to ground and soothe the bodymind

  • Breath-work designed to soothe and relaxation techniques to send you back out into your world in a calm and centered state

  • Brief take-away sent after class so you can implement these practices right away

Yoga for Depression and Anxiety

Come join a small group setting with like- minded individuals, from the comfort of your home! This class has evolved over the years and is catered to meet the individuals present. We will have themed discussions with optional sharing for the first. 15-20 minutes of class. The practice will be one hour.

Yoga has been scientifically proven to support emotional well being and inner peace. The breath-centered exercises, meditation, and Pranayama (breathing exercises) of Yoga have been carefully studied and selected to meet the individual needs of the practitioner suffering from anxiety and depression. We will incorporate these practices in each class as we learn the yogic teachings and perspective on mental well-being.

This series is designed to help the participants to become empowered to support their treatment of their anxiety and/or depression with Yoga practices meant to meet the needs of their emotional state at any moment or day. This practice is an empowering reminder that we have the innate ability to heal ourselves within our own beings. We touch on the topic of grief, since it has become a global state in the past few years. Grieving hearts are welcome in this space.

This class is for beginner to advanced Yoga practitioners. Some previous Yoga experience is recommended but not necessary. Come embrace your own healing journey alongside others on a similar path!
